Ecuador

Ecuador is a republic in South America located on the equator, hence its name. It is bordered by Colombia on the north, Peru on the east and south, and by the Pacific Ocean to the west. Like Chile, it is one of only two countries in South America that do not border Brazil. Ecuador also includes the famous Galápagos Islands that lie 620 miles west in the Pacific Ocean. Puerto Lopez, Ecuador Travel Guide

Puerto Lopez is a small fishing village located on the southern Pacific coast of Ecuador. In addition to fishing, the town also subsists on tourism, specifically whale watching and other ecotourism adventure. One of the largest draws is nearby Machalilla National Park, popular for jungle tours and archaelogical sites.
